Brief Reports
Concise studies with focused scope or preliminary findings. Maximum 3,000 words, 3 tables/figures combined.
Ideal for: Pilot studies, surveillance data, rapid communications, methodological innovations
Case Studies
In-depth analysis of unique public health interventions, programs, or policy implementations. Maximum 5,000 words.
Best for: Novel program evaluations, implementation science, lessons learned from real-world interventions
Perspectives & Commentaries
Expert viewpoints on current public health issues, policy debates, or emerging trends. Maximum 2,500 words.

How to Submit
Prepare Your Manuscript
Format according to our Instructions for Authors. Include: title page, structured abstract, main text with line numbers, references (with DOIs), tables, figures, and supplementary materials (if applicable).
Submit Online
Use our online submission system. You'll need: manuscript file (Word or LaTeX), cover letter explaining significance, suggested reviewers (optional but helpful), and all author contact information.
Editorial Screening
Within 3-5 business days, the editorial office screens for scope, quality, and completeness. Manuscripts passing initial screening are sent to expert peer reviewers (typically 2-3 reviewers per manuscript).
Peer Review & Decision
Reviewers evaluate scientific quality, methods, and significance. Average review time: 3-5 weeks. Editorial decision typically within 1 week of receiving reviews. Possible outcomes: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
Revision & Publication
If revisions requested, resubmit within suggested timeframe with point-by-point response. Accepted manuscripts move to production within 48 hours and are published online within 1 week. DOI assigned immediately upon publication.
