Biography:

I obtained my PhD in Hokkaido University, Japan and worked as a Post-doctoral fellow in National Institute for Material Science (NIMS, Japan). Prior to this appointment, I worked as a research fellow and was awarded with NIMS JRF fellowship, 2010. Later, I joined Seoul National University as IBS fellow in CCES and currently working in Global Innovative Center for Advanced Nanomaterials (GICAN) at The University of Newcastle, Callaghan campus.

My research in early days were focused on advanced material synthesis under high pressures, make changes to crystal structure, chemical composition and morphology of carbides, chalcogenides, pervoskites, transition metal oxides and analyzed the structural, electronic and physical properties (Superconductivity & Magnetism). I have been credited with more than 30 publications in high impact Journals.

Currently, my interests are to design and develop multifunctional nanomaterials such as mesoporous and microporous carbon and carbon nitrides, heteroatom doping, hybrid inorganic materials, metal loaded carbon and carbonitrides for energy storage, sensors, CO2 capture and conversion, catalysis and environmental applications, photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic conversion, Extrusion process of materials for CO2 capture, Water and contaminant analysis.

Publications:

  • A dual protective drug delivery system based on lipid coated core-shell mesoporous silica for efficient delivery of cabazitaxel to prostate cancer cells
