Aims and Scope

Journal of Respiratory Diseases (JRD) is an international, open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of respiratory diseases. JRD serves as a platform for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to exchange cutting-edge insights into respiratory health.  

JRD publishes original research and reviews covering a broad spectrum of respiratory diseases, including but not limited to:  

• Respiratory Infections: Viral, bacterial, fungal, and alveolar infections, including pneumonia and tuberculosis.  
• Chronic Inflammatory Lung Diseases: Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, and pulmonary fibrosis.  
• Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders: Obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, and hypoventilation syndromes.  
• Occupational and Environmental Lung Diseases: Silicosis, asbestosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and exposure-related disorders.  
• Rare and Interstitial Lung Diseases: Sarcoidosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM).  
• Pulmonary Vascular Disorders: Pulmonary hypertension, embolism, and vascular malformations.  
• Respiratory Diagnostics and Therapeutics: Advances in imaging, biomarkers, mechanical ventilation, pharmacology, and emerging treatment modalities.

JRD encourage submissions that investigate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, such as machine learning and natural language processing, in respiratory disease management and healthcare delivery. Items mentioned on the list below fall within the scope of the Journal of Respiratory Diseases.
