Aims and Scope

The Journal of Respiratory Diseases (JRD) is an international, open access journal that provides a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research and ideas in the field of respiratory diseases. JRD is committed to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed articles across the full range of respiratory diseases, viral, bacterial, and alveolar infections, asthma and other inflammatory lung diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, sleep-related breathing disorders, occupational lung disorders, and rare respiratory diseases.

The aim of JRD is to provide a forum for the dissemination of high-quality original research, reviews, editorials, and commentaries in the field of respiratory diseases. We strongly encourage submissions with a focus on how specific respiratory diseases are managed in the context of everyday clinical care.

The scope of JRD is to publish manuscripts presenting evidence-based diagnosis, management, and treatment of respiratory diseases. Manuscripts may include basic laboratory studies, early preclinical studies, clinical trials or observational clinical studies, and meta-analyses. Our journal also encourages the submission of clinical case reports that add to the understanding of diseases or treatments in the field of respiratory diseases.
