Journal of Current Chronic Diseases

Aims and Scope

Journal of Current Chronic Diseases is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, short communication. This journal's main aim is to provide a comprehensive platform for scientists and academicians all over the world in order to promote and share their findings in the areas of Chronic medicine, blindness, chronic treatment, chronic hepatitis, chronic pain syndromes. This journal supports rapid turn-around time for publication of articles.

There is an urgent need for research and intervention focused on the preventative and therapeutic aspects of chronic diseases in both developed and developing countries. Understanding the epidemiology and burden of chronic diseases, their course, risk factors, and determinants are critical for the development of effective strategies to reduce the burden of these illnesses, improve health outcomes, and promote healthier lifestyles. Research on chronic diseases should also examine the use of innovative interventions and health system level approaches to promote prevention and early detection and timely management.

Chronic diseases are defined as any disorder that persists for three months or longer and is incurable, but may be managed with medical and lifestyle interventions. Common chronic conditions include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, asthma, and various types of autoimmune conditions including lupus, multiple sclerosis and fibromyalgia. Collectively these conditions are responsible for over 70% of all deaths and billions of health care dollars are spent each year on their treatment.

The Journal of Current Chronic Diseases (JCD) seeks to provide a platform for academic researchers and clinicians to share their research and findings on the epidemiology, risk factors, primary and secondary prevention, and treatment of chronic diseases and their types. JCD publishes articles on diverse topics such as chronic disease management, primary/secondary prevention, chronic illness burden, and health behaviours. In addition, this journal also publishes reviews and perspectives focused on current challenges in the field of chronic diseases.

Submitted articles should discuss advances in medical treatments, preventive interventions and screenings, public health interventions and health care systems, and other related topics. Besides the scientific value of the research, articles should also present the socioeconomic, public health, and public policy implications of the study. Authors should strive to capture the innovative solutions developed to address challenges posed by chronic diseases and their associated adverse outcomes.

The journal seeks manuscripts from all related fields: public health, medical education, pharmacy, nursing, clinical practice, genetics, psychology and socio-economics. Authors are invited to submit high-quality research articles that discuss clinical issues and implications of current research findings, innovation in clinical practice and delivery, public health interventions, and medical- or public health-related public policy. The journal also provides a platform to discuss epidemiological data and its use in predicting long-term outcome and designing emerging interventions.
