International Journal of Vasculitis publishes peer-reviewed research on vasculitis — inflammatory disease of the blood vessels — in systemic and organ-specific presentations alike. Laboratory, translational, clinical, epidemiologic and methodological work are equally eligible; what a manuscript is judged on is the question it asks and the evidence it brings to it.

What the journal publishes
Vasculitis is inflammatory disease of the blood vessels: a family of conditions in which immune activity injures the vessel wall and, through it, the organ the vessel supplies. The journal reads that field across mechanisms, classification, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.

The immune and vascular biology of vessel-wall injury.
Classification
The nomenclature, criteria and vessel-size frameworks that give these syndromes their names, and the work of separating a primary vasculitis from the conditions that resemble one.
Diagnosis
Histopathology, imaging, serology, genetic testing and candidate biomarkers, and how such findings are read together when a presentation overlaps other disease.
Treatment
Induction and maintenance of remission, immunosuppressive and biologic therapy, and the management of relapse and of treatment-related risk.
Outcomes
The course a disease takes.

The article processing charge is USD 1,200, invoiced only after editorial acceptance. A student rate of USD 540 applies where eligibility is confirmed by the editorial office.
