Biography
- I am assistant professor in the Institute for Personalized Medicine (IPM), the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, at the College of Medicine of Pennsylvania State University (PSU-COM), focusing on neuroimaging and next generation sequence high dimensional data research.
- Before joined IPM, I worked in Dr. Xuemei Huang’s Hershey Brain Analysis Research Laboratory (HBAR), in the Dept. of Neurology at the PSU Hershey Medical Center, and focused on multi-modality neuroimging (T1, T2, R2, DTI, and fMRI) studies on neurodegenerative disease, special on Parkinson’s Disease (PD).
- Previously, I had worked four years in the Center for Biomedical Imaging Statistics (CBIS) in the Dept. of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Emory University with Dr. DuBois Bowman.
- Both my research focus on computational and statistical methodology and analysis on high-dimensional biomedical data (fMRI, DTI, PET, T1 and SNP), such as developing statistical and computational methods to characterize brain dynamic network and biomarkers in distributed brain neural processing associated with disorder disease, for example, Schizophrenia, Depression, Alzheimer, and Parkinson’s disease.
- I have Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, where my research spanned the areas of machine learning, pattern recognition, image processing, and information fusion.
